Located in the center of New York States impressive Adirondack Mountain region, the hamlets of Long Lake and Raquette Lake provide the visitor with a pristine destination of natural wonders containing lakes, rivers, streams, ponds and the majestic Adirondack Mountains and the accommodations and activities to make your stay enjoyable.

The ways you can enjoy the area are virtually unlimited. The Lakes can be sailed, canoed, water skied on, swam in or you can take a leisurely dinner cruise on Raquette Lake. Or you may just want to take a few minutes to watch the beautiful sunsets with a special friend.

You can hike the many trails ranging from those for the ambitious backpacker to a short trail for a leisurely stroll along a lake or pond. There are activities and accommodations for everyone. From beach front motels and hotels to secluded cottages.

In winter, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing lets you see this same majestic quality under a completely new but still awe inspiring elegance. The lakes which you went canoeing on or fished in during the summer are still there just waiting for you to cut a hole through the ice and drop a line.
